The obvious joke to us left-wing sickos is that Bush's mother should have had one, twice if you ask me.
I'm not a big fan of abortion, particularly as a birth control method. However, I've seen and experienced situations where it was certainly the right path for a particular person to walk down and I was grateful that path was available, legally and safely for them.
A Bush Administration proposed funding rule would have the effect of denying contraception to American women above and beyond actual pregnancy termination. They would tie funding to an entity's hiring of personnel that refuse to provide contraception and pregnancy termination services, removing funding from those who do not acquiesce in writing and deed. Many popular forms of birth control could be defined as "abortion" under this rule including birth control pills and IUDs.
A Seattle Times editorial calls this an "anti-abortion ploy" and an "end run around women's reproductive rights".
What is the next step backwards, we lose the vote?
