After what looked like the start of a miserable day, it turned out to be one of the most fun I've had in a while.
Everyone around here woke up on the wrong side of the bed and we all grumbled at each other for a while but then....
We got dressed, headed out the door.
First stop--Pontius Farm in White Heath to pick blueberries. It was a new experience for me. We managed to pick two pounds but it is no telling how much the granddaughter ate that didn't make it in the bucket. We also got to pet llamas and kittens.
Second stop--Clinton Lake Beach to bob in the waves for a bit. Granddaughter was absolutely in love with the waves. Grandpooh took her out and let her bob in the surf. Her smile lit up the entire region.
Third stop--El Rey Restaurant in Clinton. I can't say it was bad but it just missed. It was edible. Next time we are in Clinton we are going to try Ted's Classic Grill.
Last stop--Clinton Dairy Queen, one of the cleanest DQ's I've ever seen. A round of cones (and one Artic Rush) and we were all fat as little butterballs.
Sometimes the unplanned trips are the best.
